8 Gifts for the Photographer in Your Life

Updated: Oct 30, 2019

With Christmas right around the corner, it is time to start thinking about gifts for your family and friends. Here is a list of gifts for the photographers in your life to get you started! (Always make sure to know what camera your loved one has before buying any accessories!)

Disclosure: I have placed some affiliate links below that I may receive commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Keep in mind, however, these are all my personal recommendations that I stand by. I would not bring them to you if I did not believe in each item.

1. Tripod

Tripods are extremely helpful for landscape photos, time lapses and advanced selfies! To get a beginner photographer started, I recommend a sturdy but affordable tripod. The tripod will help with learning the camera basics but will not break the bank!

2. Personal strap

The straps that come on cameras are scratchy and uncomfortable. I love my strap which has the world map on it! It is comfy and adds a personal flare! This is a great gift that is super useful but also incredibly thoughtful and personal!

3. SD cards

4. Adobe gift card

Adobe Photoshop is an essential but pricey subscription for photographers to have. A gift card to purchase Photoshop and Lightroom is extremely beneficial!

5. Remote

As someone who loves travel photos and taking advanced selfies, having a remote ready for when I do not have my travel partner Kellie to take them has become essential. This lovely little accessory is a great addition to pair with a tripod.

6. Backpack

Taking my laptop and camera on the go has become a must. This pack has helped tremendously when I travel so that my precious technology is secure and protected. (This is the EXACT bag I have and it has been amazing!)

7. Phone Lenses

8. Light Reflectors

Light Reflectors can make all the difference in a photo. When lighting conditions are unpredictable, these come in clutch.

Make sure to check the type of camera your friend or loved one has before buying any gear. Some things are not compatible with every camera.
