Sometimes we need a refresh. Redecorating your home can be a great way to fuel renewal and new inspiration. Luckily, when we need this type of refresh, we do not have to spend a ton of money on new decor. There are many steps we can take while using what we already have access to make our spaces feel new!
Here are some ideas for affordably redecorating your home when you need to mix things up a little bit.

1. Repurpose
One of the first things you can do is find new ways to display what you already have. Take stock of what you have sitting out and what items you have in storage. How can you use that stack of books as a display rather than tucked away? How about turning that mug you never use into a planter? Place a blanket out as decor. Take stock. Rethink. Display.
2. DIY
Beyond finding new ways to display what is in your home, you can also apply this idea for creating DIYs. Get out your sewing kit, find your glue gun, and get going on some fun projects. This is a great way to use worn down or forgotten items and turn them into something new!
3. Use up old paint
We all are guilty of keeping leftover paint from previous projects. Finally, use that stock up and paint something! Giving a piece of furniture, wall or even trim a makeover can completely transform a space.
4. Add Nature
When in doubt, turn to nature. Bring in fresh flowers or split up existing indoor plants. Adding plants brings fresh energy and life to your home.
5. Rearrange furniture
Swap around all your furniture. Even consider taking furniture from one room to the other. Mix and match. Have fun and get creative.
6. Put unique things on display
Think out of the box. What little items do you have hidden away? Be bold, embrace what makes you unique and display that in your home!
7. Display photos
Displaying photos can be a great way to add a personal touch to your home. Pull out old prints you have or reach out to relatives to see if they can dig up some great family photos.
