I thought it would be fun to share some interviews with successful bloggers that I love. Hopefully you will find inspiration and hope for your own blog while reading what these lovely people have to say!
My first try with this is interview process is with Morgan who runs The White Farm House Blog. I came across her on Instagram and instantly fell in love. Her posts are informative, and the pictures are oh so pretty! She was so nice about answering my questions and taking the time to talk to me. So, I hope you guys learn something, I know I certainly did!
1. Why/how did you start blogging?
2. How do you structure your days?
3. Where and how do you work best?
4. What tools/apps do you find indispensable for your blog?
5. How do you tackle marketing?
6. What would you have done differently if you knew then what you know now?
Answering 1-6 Morgan let me know that she does not get bogged down by structure or planning. She just posts when it strikes her!
Like how many good things happen, she “started her blog on a slow day” three years ago and still even rocks her free Wordpress Blog.
This was very interesting to hear. As I am working on growing my blog, I have read endless posts about how to be successful. Morgan is an example of a success story that did not follow all the “rules” that are being put out there. Many of the blogs say you MUST do A, B and C to create a blog that is going to be successful. Morgan’s go with the flow, relaxed attitude has carried her this far and it could carry you as well! Do not get caught up in all the “MUST DO” blogs and just be you!
7. What’s the best advice you ever received?
"Do what you love”
This is so important to remember, so tell your friends or remind a stranger!
8. What’s one rule you live and die by?
“If you do not love it, lose it!”
I really adore the advice she gave.
This is something that everyone can be reminded of from time to time. Too often we get bogged down in things we think we have to do but if you are not loving it, seek alternate options!
9. What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?
“I want to be remembered as a nice person”
I personally think this is a great goal and is one of mine as well. We live on through how we influence others. By being nice, we could have a trickle effect on so many people, present and in the future.
10. (lastly a super fun one!) You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Fittingly, “White crayon” was her answer for this one. (She calls herself white playdough!)
My take away from this is to remember why you started your blog. Do not get bogged down in all the crazy advice you are reading on the internet and stop having fun and enjoying writing. Certain advice is not for everyone and may not work for you. Step back and try something more laid back and maybe it will fall into place!
Lastly,
I would like to thank Morgan and The White Farm House Blog for taking the time to complete this interview. In my opinion, it was a successful first interview and am so glad it got to be with The White Farm House Blog!
