No matter your work situation, having an office space in your home is important. Having a dedicated area to work on professional or personal matters can make all the difference to your productivity and motivation. When your work happens where you play in your home, your brain can have a hard time making that mental shift. I personally have experienced this, and since I made my own workspace, I get more work done in less time, am more creative and produce better work.
By office space, I don't mean just setting up at the dining room table. While this is a decent temporary fix for lack of an office, making an area (it doesn't even have to be a room!) that is for working will make all the difference. Making the space one you feel welcoming, inspired and ready to show up for the day is just as important. So find furniture, artwork, and all the necessary accessories that will make your space functional and pretty.
As I mention a lot in this blog, our homes should not just be beautiful to the eye. They should have meaning, personal connection and be functional. When you are picking out items for your new work from home space keep in mind that you want this space to inspire and cultivate productivity and creativity.
Here are a few different setups to get you started!
